During the Coronavirus / Covid-19 pandemic, Janel Schermerhorn navigated the unique experience of living in a foreign country during a global pandemic. An American mom who has traveled the world, being away from the States wasn’t what she had to adjust to. Like so many others around the world, grappling with the sudden change in pace brought on the pandemic was anything but easy. By launching her own podcast, Mom’s Secret Fort, Schermerhorn sought out to bring some simplicity into the chaos. By telling stories of her life, Schermerhorn was able to continue to contribute to what matters most to her: building stronger communities.
